Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has released an official job notification (IARI Recruitment 2021) for the recruitment of 641 Technician (T-1) positions at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR) Headquarters and its research institutes. Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th) pass from a recognized Board. The candidate must specifically indicate the percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application form. Where the percentage of marks is not awarded by the University but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same shall be converted into percentage in terms of conversion norms of the university in this regard, besides indicating the CGPA/OGPA in the application form.
Candidates will have to produce the certificate/document issued by the University evidencing the conversion formula of the university when called for document verification. Round off % age will not be accepted under any circumstances for consideration for appointment. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.
Serving Candidates: All candidates in the service of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research/any other Govt. Service, whether in a permanent or in temporary capacity (employees under probation), other than casual, outsourced, or daily rated employees, must inform in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for this examination.
Candidates should note that in case a communication is received from their employer by the IARI withholding permission to the candidates applying for appearing at the examination, their applications will be liable to be rejected/ canceled. This information/ permission (to the concerned employer) will be required in case of selection.
Age Limit: As mentioned below –
- The minimum age limit is 18 years as on 10 January 2022
- The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 10 January 2022
The maximum age limit for Serving regular employees of ICAR is 58 years as on 10 January 2022.
Selection Process For IARI Recruitment 2021
Appointment of successful candidates will be subject to verification of original documents relating to Age, Qualifications, Caste, Character & Antecedent verification followed by Medical fitness certificate issued by appropriate Medical Authorities.
The scheme and syllabus of the examination are given in the rules of the examination for the respective posts vide Annexure III (Official Notification). The Question Paper will be set in English & Hindi only. In case of any difference/ discrepancy/ dispute in the questions between English and Hindi, the content of the English version shall prevail.
Computer Based Test/ Examination shall consist of Objective Type 100 Questions with 4 multiple choice answers out of which candidate has to choose one correct answer only. Each question carries one mark. For each wrong answer, the ¼ (0.25) mark shall be deducted. Qualifying marks in written test/CBT are prescribed as 40% for UR, 30% for SC/ OBC-NCL/ EWS, and 25% for ST.

- UR/OBC-NCL(NCL)/EWS: Rs.1,000/- (Examination + Registration Fee)
- Women/SC/ST/Ex-SM/PwBD: Rs.300/- (Registration Fee)
All female candidates and candidates belonging to scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe/ ex-servicemen/ person with benchmark disability are exempted from payment of examination fee. They have to pay the registration fee only.
