NHAI Jobs 2021 Details

Number Of Vacancies: UR (06), SC (03), ST (01), OBC-NCL (05), EWS (02), Total: 17

Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Master of Business Administration (Finance) from a recognized university or institute (via normal course).


Member of any organized finance or accounting-related service in the central or state governments.


Four years of experience in financial accounting, budgeting, internal audit, contract management, fund management, or disbursement in a reputable organization, with at least six months of prior experience in a Public Sector Undertaking or Government organization using the “Double Entry Accounting System.”

Age Limit: Not more than 35 years old as of the advertisement’s closing date (relaxable as per Govt. of India guidelines applicable to various categories/groups, as indicated below).

Salary: Level 10 of Pay Matrix of 7th CPC (Pre-revised: Pay Band-3: Rs. 56100- 177500/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-)

Selection Process For NHAI Jobs 2021

» Only those candidates who meet the required qualifications (essential qualification, experience, and age) will be allowed to take the computer-based test (CBT). Only qualified candidates will get an Admit Card via the NTA Recruitment Portal (https://recruitment.nta.nic.in/), which will include the date, time, exam centre, and other pertinent information. At least 07 days before to the CBT, candidates will be notified through public notice, automated email, or SMS to download their individual Admit Cards.

» The CBT test will be divided into two sections: Part I and Part II. There will be 100 questions in total for both segments. The qualifying marks for Part II of the CBT will be 30% for General/OBC/EWS candidates, and 20% for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. Negative marks will be awarded in the ratio of 1:4, i.e. 1 mark will be lost for every 4 erroneous answers.

» After the CBT, the qualifying applicants who have been shortlisted on merit will be summoned for an interview in New Delhi at a ratio of 1:5. The Call Letter, which will be sent online through the above-mentioned NTA recruiting portal, will include the date, time, and location of the interview. At least 07 days prior to the interview date, the shortlisted candidates for the interview will be notified by public notice/automated email/SMS to download their respective Call Letters.

» The final Merit List for selection to the Post(s) will be generated in a 1:3 ratio, based on the criteria listed below –

  • 80 % of the marks obtained in CBT
  • Maximum 10 marks weightage to the Educational Qualification(s) as follows : –
  1. Only B.Com – 2 Marks
  2. Only Chartered Accountant or Certified Management Account or Master in Business
    Administration (Finance) – 5 Mark
  3. B.Com + Chartered Accountant or Certified Management Account or Master in Business Administration (Finance) (only Regular Course) – 7 Marks
  4. B.Com + Any of two degrees from Chartered Accountant or Certified Management Account or Master in Business Administration (Finance) (only Regular Course) – 10 Marks
  • 10 marks for interview.

» If two or more applicants in the same category have similar marks, the following will be considered for the final merit list –

  • Candidates who scored better in the CBT Part-II test will be placed higher in the merit list.
  • Candidates with better qualifications will be put higher in the merit list if their marks in the CBT Part-II test are equal.
  • If an applicant’s marks in the CBT Part-II examination and qualification are the same, the candidate with the higher qualification will be put higher on the merit list.
