Interested and eligible candidates who want to get admission into Diploma Courses in State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted by the Govt. of India’ Assam Energy Institute, Sibsagar) for the session 2022–2023 may apply online via the official website of DTE, Assam.

Eligibility Criteria For Polytechnic Admission Test 2022
Educational Qualification: The candidate has to pass HSLC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as a compulsory subject (Both practical & theory) –
- For General & OBC/MOBC: 40% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science.
- For Schedule Caste: 35% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science.
- For Scheduled Tribes: 33% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science.
Residentship: The candidates must be permanent citizens of Assam.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for each category is given below –
- For General & OBC/MOBC: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022.
- Schedule Caste/ Tribe: 23 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022.
- For Institutions Outside Assam: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022 (irrespective of category)
Application Fees For Polytechnic Admission Test 2022
An application fee of Rs.500/- [plus bank charges as applicable) is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Payment may also be made in cash at any branch of State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form “State Bank Collect’ in the final step of the Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process.
