Eligibility Criteria For SLET Application Form 2022
Educational Qualification: In the case of General/ Unreserved/ General-EWS applicants, they must have received at least 55 percent (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by the UGC. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to the non-creamy layer who have obtained at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination are qualified to take the test.
Applicants who have taken or will take the final qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose results are still pending, as well as candidates whose qualifying examination has been postponed, are eligible to take this test.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for taking the SLET Exam. Candidates who pass the test are entitled to apply for Assistant Professor positions in the Member-States within this SLET Commission’s authority.
Other Details About SLET Application Form 2022
The State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) is divided into two parts. Only objective type questions of the following types will appear on both papers:
- Multiple Choice
- Assertion and Reasoning
- True and False

Paper-I: The first paper will be of a broad nature and will be used to assess the candidate’s teaching and research abilities. It will largely be used to assess the candidate’s reasoning skills, understanding, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
Paper-II: A total of 100 objective-type questions based on the subject will be included in Paper-II. Each question will be worth two points. There will be no repercussions. In Paper-I, applicants who are visually handicapped or have a writing impediment are given 20 minutes of compensatory time. As a result, Paper-II includes a 20-minute compensating time allowance.
