➤ Assistant Engineer (Civil)
Number Of Vacancies: UR (64), OBC/ MOBC (05), SC (11), ST-P (11), ST-H (02), EWS (07), Total: 100
Educational Qualification: As mentioned below –
- B.E or equivalent degree regular Full-Time course in Civil Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government.
- The Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) Official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021.
Pay Scale: Rs.30,000/- to Rs.1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM

Educational Qualification: As mentioned below –
- Candidate must pass 3 (three) years regular Full-Time Diploma course in Civil Engineering from any institute recognized by AICTE.
- The Diploma in Civil Engineering must be a Regular Full Time Course. Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained through Distance mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
- Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) Official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000/- to Rs.60,500/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- PM
Other Eligibility Criteria For Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021:
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam for Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021. For proof of permanent residence, the candidate or his/her parents must be a voter of Assam. The voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021 for Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021.
Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below –
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years
- For Persons with Disability (PWD) by 10 years
Selection Process For Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021:
Screening/ Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit as per academic performance for Water Resources Department Recruitment 2021.
Methodology Of Recruitment: Due to the current pandemic situation, a contact-less process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed
